Convenience and accessibility make Arnold a desirable location for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Although it is filled with amenities you’d expect from St. Louis real estate, like convenient shopping and an easy commute, Arnold still maintains its small town feel with community cookouts and school events. Homes tend towards ranch styles and subdivision neighborhoods; being a fairly young city, the majority of housing available is under 40 years of age.
The land that is now Arnold started as a Ferry boat launch on “El Camino Real,” the “Royal Road” commissioned by the King of Spain. Though people have lived in this area since then, Arnold itself only became a town recently in 1972. Despite its young age, the town feels very established with strong community bonds.
An easy 30-minute commute to downtown St. Louis, the neighborhood sits along Interstate 55 at the confluence of the Meramec and Mississippi Rivers.
From their rolling hills, green trees, and beautiful waterways to their strong and positive cultural, educational, and municipal infrastructure, Arnold is a wonderful place to live, work, and play. You'll find the small town charm that is often desired with the entertainment and activities to meet the needs of young millenials or growing families.
Because of its location, Arnold offers a blend of activities abound for children, families, and singles. Parks and recreational facilities include those as the Pomme Creek Golf Course and the Strawberry Creek nature area. For the outdoors man, there is plenty of hiking and fishing among the Ozark countryside, and the city is just beyond its borders. For those that like to shop, area malls are well within reach.
Arnold is located in the well-respected Fox School District and also contains a handful of private religious-based schools.
