Des Peres is strategically nestled along Manchester Road, which runs east and west through the majority of St. Louis. The neighborhood is also conveniently located near interstates 270, 64/40, and 44, giving commuters plenty of access to the city and the rest of the area.

CULTURE

Headquarters of financial firms Edward Jones and Scottrade, Des Peres caters to the business crowd during the day. Commuters and residents both partake in the amenities the neighborhood has to offer, from shopping at West County Mall, restaurants along Manchester, and even a local theater. There’s a summer concert series in (surprise) the summer and plenty of local activities during the holiday season.

ENTERTAINMENT

There is a great balance of retail and recreational activities for residents to enjoy. At The Lodge, the whole family can participate in aquatics, sports, and fitness classes. At the West County Center, there are a variety of bars and restaurants for happy hour and date nights.  Antique collectors and fans of boutique shops will enjoy the cozy stores that dot the landscape of Manchester Road.

Harwood Park | A 2.1 acre park with a playground, picnic area, and benches.

Sugar Creek Park | 20.7 acres with baseball fields, soccer field, bicycle trail, play fountain, playground, nature area, and picnic pavilion.

Pioneer Park | This 7-acre park includes two tennis courts, playground, baseball field, picnic sites, pavilion, play fountain, and soccer field.

Des Peres Community Center | The indoor aquatic center includes a combination 25-yard, 6-lane pool with on and off wave action. The indoor aquatic center also includes a child’s pool, whirlpool, spa, sauna, and steam rooms. Other features include a fitness center, a regulation high school gym with two half-size courts, concession area, locker rooms and aerobics room. The upper level includes meeting rooms, a classroom, catering kitchen, babysitting room, and administrative offices.
